Lisa has a dog and a cat. Her dog is 6$\dfrac{7}{8}$ years old and her cat is 4$\dfrac{1}{2}$ years old. How much older is her dog than her cat?

Becky is cooking for herself. It takes her $\dfrac{4}{7}$ of an hour to finish the meal she’s prepared. As soon as she’s done, her brother walks into the kitchen and asks her to cook one for him, but a smaller portion. It will take her $\dfrac{4}{9}$ of an hour to cook for her brother. How long will the two meals have taken Becky to cook? altogether?
