Daniel Culbert

Daniel Culbert earned his B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering, Tau Beta Pi, and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford. He has over 10 years experience as an architect, manager, and entrepreneur in leading-edge technologies and markets, working in the areas of consumer electronics, operating systems, multimedia hardware and software, internet search design, and audio recognition. He helped the Shazam, a UK company, launch their mobile audio recognition service in the UK. He founded everSearch (CTO, board member), an internet search/infrastructure company. Prior to that, he spent several years overseeing the development of real-time operating systems, dynamic resource management systems, and multimedia hardware and software architecture at Chromatic Research, a company devoted to creating a high-bandwidth, high-powered single-chip mediaprocessor designed to process all graphics, audio, video, and communications on a PC. He has also designed and developed several audio and speech projects for mobile systems at Apple Computer.
