Miss Daisy is Crazy

Summary:

Miss Daisy is Crazy follows a class with a teacher who is very unusual.  This book (and all of the other books in the series) paints in the teachers and administrators as very odd and the children as the rational actors (or are the teachers crazy or are they trying to make a point?).  Kids enjoy the antics of the silly adults as well as the children who are trying to work in a school that does not always act rationally.

Themes:
school, disliking school, silly teachers, friendship/classroom dynamics
Audience:
This book is a great introduction to chapter books. There are a few illustrations, very short chapters, and a fun and engaging story that we find makes students want to read more.
