Computation with Polynomials: Multiplication
This packet helps students understand how to multiply polynomials. These problems can look very complicated, but are closely related to processes that students use to simplify expressions using distributive property and to "FOIL" factored quadratic equations.
Each page starts with easier problems that get more difficult as students work through the packet. After doing all 30 problems, students should be more comfortable doing these problems and have a clear understanding of how to solve them.
Multiply each polynomial.
Simple:
$(x+5)(x+3)$
Advanced:
$ (2x²-3)(x²+3)$
Practice problems require knowledge of addition, subtraction, and multiplication of integers. View the first page of the packet above.
